This is a concise and intriguing treatise from our beloved Sheikh Allammah Abdur Rahmaan Ibn Nasr As Sa'di May Allah have mercy upon him and grant him the highest place in His Jannah, called: Questions and Answers Pertaining to Learning the Most Important Fundamentals of the Creed and Clarification of those Obstacles which Hinder Imaan. He clarifies some of the most fundamental aspects of the creed of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah and refutes some of the shubuhaat of the atheists. Fundamentals of the religion which unfortunately most of the Muslims are negligent regarding or consider them to be of secondary importance. Fundamentals which were opposed by the enemies of Ahlus Sunnah from the various deviant sects. Fundamentals which will safeguard the Muslim from Shirk, Bid'ah and ascribing to perverted groups or sects. The Sheikh chose for this treatise the prophetic methodology of questions and answers, which was also used by the Salaf up until our time right now. This methodology of teaching has a tremendous effect on the listener as opposed to the normality of teaching. As we find in many Ahaadith where the Messenger would ask the Sahaabah a question knowing that they didn't know the answer so as to gain his total attention and concentration and then answer the question. The greatest evidence for this is the famous Hadith of Jibreel found in Sahih Al Bukhaari and others. Also we find in the books of the Salaf this same mannerism like the Questions and Answers of Imaam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal by Ishaaq Ibn Ra'huyah and the Questions and Answers of Ibn Taymiyah By Ibn Qayyim and in our time now the Questions and Answers of our beloved shiekh Muhammad Nasrud deen Al Baani and others whom this short introduction will not allow us to mention. The sheikh avoided mentioning some of the evidences relating to some of the issues therein either because of their familiarity to the reader or to make this treatise easy to digest and comprehend. However we mentioned some of the evidences and proofs, based upon what Allah has made easy, relating to some of those issues. We ask Allah for His safety and Tawfeeq and to benefit us with the treasures that were left behind by our beloved scholars for indeed He is capable and has power over all things. May Allah send His Peace and Blessings upon His slave and final messenger Muhammad.
